KBR: Immersive Exhibition Booth Design & Production – DSEI
Overview
Design and production of a large-scale, two-storey exhibition booth for KBR at DSEI — the world’s largest defence and security exhibition. Spanning 314.5m², the stand was designed to showcase KBR’s heritage, people and frontline services, while cutting through an extremely competitive exhibition environment.

The Challenge
DSEI attracts more than 25,000 delegates from across the global defence sector, making it one of the most crowded and visually intense exhibition spaces in the world. KBR needed to stand out immediately, clearly communicate the scale and importance of its role supporting armed services, and encourage delegates to engage, explore and ask for more information.
With KBR’s people often working in extreme, frontline conditions, the stand needed to feel authentic, purposeful and credible — not just visually impressive.
Conclusion & Results
The Approach
This was a large, complex project that brought together the full breadth of OSP’s expertise — from exhibition design and event management through to logistics, film and interactive experiences.
The creative concept was grounded in KBR’s real-world operations. We used elements of the company’s own equipment — including the same tent systems deployed by KBR teams in Iraq — to create an exterior that immediately reflected frontline conditions and set the stand apart from its surroundings.
Inside, the space shifted to a more refined environment designed for conversation and exploration. The stand was organised into themed zones that showcased KBR’s services, supported by wraparound graphics, short films and Screen-Q interactive presentations produced by OSP.
To add depth and human context, we integrated gallery spaces featuring work by war artist Arabella Dorman, including a VIP upper-deck studio experience. A bespoke tabletop model with integrated screens brought KBR’s global logistics and supply chain to life across multiple operational environments.
Key deliverables included:
- Creative concept and exhibition strategy
- Two-storey booth design and production
- Exhibition and event management
- Logistics planning and on-site delivery
- Booth graphics, print and environmental design
- Interactive Screen-Q presentation system
- Video filming and editing
- Bespoke tabletop logistics model with integrated screens
- Art gallery design and catalogue production
- VIP upper-deck experience design
The Impact
The booth became a standout feature of DSEI, drawing sustained interest throughout the event and clearly communicating KBR’s frontline role and operational expertise. Delegates engaged deeply with the content, from interactive screens and video to the gallery and model installations.
Feedback from KBR was extremely positive, highlighting both the strategic thinking and flawless delivery behind the project.
“OSP delivered what they promised — great strategic and operational advice, meticulous planning, complex logistics support and attention to detail. The team provided us with an integrated and creative solution, allowing KBR to stand out by a country mile from the competition.”
